Pioneer DJ just announced that its two-channel DDJ-400 controller is now compatible with djay Pro for Mac / PC, which expands the controller’s software compatibility from Rekordbox DJ, Virtual DJ and djay for iOS, and that also means you can now spin using Spotify streaming if you’ve got a Spotify Premium account. The company has also released the unit in silver to give users a second choice of colour.

I recently learned that SPOTIFY is listed to the left under.Online Music. so I click on it and login into my personal account on Spotify. Once I login I see my playlists so I try to load it on the Numark Party Mix but as soon as the PLAY BUTTON lights up I get. An extremely popular budget offering from Numark, the Mixtrack Platinum is spacious, has long-throw pitch faders, includes touch strips for track searching, and is a solid all-around beginner DJ controller for those wanting to use Serato. Big chunky jog wheels house lovely digital displays, which give basic BPM and track position feedback.

The DDJ-400 is an excellent entry level controller for those wanting to get into digital DJing but want a layout and controls that are similar to a CDJ/DJM set-up. Windows nt sp6. Granted, it doesn’t have as many bells and whistles as its bigger siblings (DDJ-1000, DDJ-800) but you do get a full set of performance pads, touch-capacitive jogs and even Beat FX controls that mimic some of the workflow needed to operate a DJM mixer.
