  2. W Richards Double Barrel Shotgun Identification 12 Gauge

I have collected S&W's antique firearms for a while. Out of nowhere - I got this bug to collect a few 'wall hangers.'
I have always wanted an old double barrel shotgun and musket hanging on the wall in my den. So, I picked up a W. Richards Double Barrel Shotgun and earlier came across this W. Richards Double Barrel Shotgun. Naturally, the search for history starts. I have learned a lot but still have problem with those darn proof marks.
I created a page for both my new puppies (below) - any help would be greatly appreciated and please don't hestiate to contact me via e-mail at W. Richards Research E-Mail or simply reply to my forum postings.
Now, just tap the W. Richards Double Barrel Shotgun (▼ first picture below ▼) and off you will go to my pictures.
Thanks again!

(1) Estimated value at auction of a W. Richards, double barrel, hammer shotgun; barrel and stock #644. Belonged to my Grandfather's uncle who died in the late 1800's. Don't know gauge but think it may be a 12ga. (2) Estimated value at auction of Ithaca Hammerless, 12ga, double barrel (Damascas); barrel and stock #108657. One variation has ESSEX GUN WORKS on left side of receiver. Another has HIBBARD stamped on left side and MODEL W.H. Stamped on right; holster with identical stampings was also available. Most have nickel-plated receivers and are serial numbered within the same ranges as, and have other characteristics identical to, regular-production H&R Handy.
